Entry for November 10, 2006
I look forward to seeing you in Storrs on Tuesday week, and there's really nothing to add to that, but I'd like your views on planning for the Spring meetings.  Fred Cazel is working on a rose garden visit in June and may have some details shortly.  My job is to set up something with the Hartford Symphony in April or May, and I find that there's what I hope is a suitable occasion on April 29.  The snag is that it falls on a Sunday, whereas we usually avoid the week ends.  I'd appreciate your views as to the feasibility of a program in Hartford at 3:00 on Sunday, with lunch and our business meeting presumably coming earlier.

Thanks for your suggestions.

The meeting at Storrs was a success. the Roper Center is a major archive of survey research and serves as an important resource for scholars in the field who access t from all over the world. And the lunch at Zenny's was fun!

Another event on the UCONN campus (Depot Campus, to be precise) will be the start of Winter Session of the Center for Learning in Retirement. Some Emeritus members are facilitators for those classes, and many members are students there. New participants are always welcome. 860-486-3231 for information about CLIR
