This section of the website will include reports from Morton Tenzer, liaison officer of the Emeritus Assembly to the AAUP Connecticut State Conference and news items of interest from the CT State Conference, Flo Hatcher, Executive Director, and the AAUP national organization. As new items become available, they will be added to this section on a continuing basis. We have at hand the latest announcement of the AAUP-CSC annual meeting this spring, 2008, an earlier report also from Mort regarding the June 2007 national conference.. Both of the reports are available here by clicking on the link to conference news below. Richard Wurst's minutes for the November 2007 Emeritus Assembly program were approved at the EA's 4/15/08 meeting. They described a presentation on the reorganization of the national association, and retirement issues of the state. They are included here as well as in the 2007 minutes section of the site

4/17;2008 New entries to this section, http://cscaaupnews.eact.info, include a flier that Flo Hatcher made to publicize the spring programs of the EA. as well as its activities. The flier was in the current issue of Vanguard that she sent to all CT higher ed institutions the first week
of April. Take a look at Hatcher EA flier spring 2008.
The second flier that Flo Hatcher made was to announce the CSC AAUP's annual spring meeting, which was reported by Mort Tenzer earlier here in the blog entry of 3/15/2008. Flo designed this flier especially for EA members and will be sending icopies of it with the Vanguard issue addressed to EA members, inviting the members to attend at a special rate. This flier can be viewd at CSC AAUP annual spring meeting here. and at the abigchillflier link below.
One quirk related to the development of making web pages and uploading files, etc., etc., at this point is that the print version of the above fliers actually look better than the web version, having kept Flo's original formatting of the fliers. as pdf files. It figures.
